PROGRAM DESIGN - SPECIAL Ed.

1. Careful recruitment and selection of residents and mentor teachers within a strong partnership between the California Center on Teaching Careers, California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, CalState TEACH and Marshall Teacher Residency, Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District, Delano Joint Union High School District, Earlimart Unified School District, Exeter Unified School District, Farmersville Unified School District, Hanford Joint Union High School District, Tulare County Office of Education, and Tulare Joint Union High School District. 

2. Tightly integrated curriculum based on a year-long clinical placement in high-need classrooms

3. Adequate living stipend and financial assistance

4. Mentoring and coaching support designed to help residents grow during the one-year of clinical co-teaching experience through their second & third year of teaching.
