PROGRAM DESIGN - SPECIAL Ed.

1. Careful recruitment and selection of residents and mentor teachers within a strong partnership between the California Center on Teaching Careers,  California State University, Fresno, Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District, Delano Joint Union High School District, Hanford Joint Union High School District, Tulare Joint Union High School District, and Visalia Unified School District. 

2. Tightly integrated curriculum based on a year-long clinical placement in high-need classrooms

3. Adequate living stipend and financial assistance

4. Mentoring and coaching support designed to help residents grow during the one-year of clinical co-teaching experience through their second & third year of teaching.
